I believe that all of the Tamiya Eurotruck bodies REQUIRE the use of the long wheel base which is 257mm. If you don't use the long wheelbase, then the wheels WILL rub on the rear wheel arches which make the car almost impossible to drive.
Tamiya does make a few bodies such as the Porsche 911 GT3 that uses the short wheelbase of 251mm

Hey not to bring it up again if already answered but I run on smooth medium traction surface. Question is is anyone using any traction compound and does it work well with these trucks. Just was curious to see what traction compound works the best on asphalt and if there any draw back to using it.

The Tamiya TBLE-04S esc DOES support Lipo cuttoff. Please refer to the following link for more information (including a PDF manual that can be downloaded).

I have raced indoors with the TBLE-02 in Eurotruck with no issue. The key to using an ESC without Lipo cut-off is to pay attention to how long you are racing/practicing the vehicle between full charges. At most typical indoor electric races/tracks a fully charged lipo battery will not discharge enough to be an issue. However there may be instances where someone is racing for an extended amount of time or on at a very large track where over-discharging may become an issue. I would recommend that everyone run a "test" race time, then check to see how much energy is left in the battery (either using their charger or a lipo battery checker).
I would recommend anyone who is concerned with over-discharging their lipo batteries when using an ESC without low voltage cutoff that they purchase an external lipo low voltage alarm. They can be found easily online.

Also the QUICRUN 1060 is a heck of a lot cheaper.

Tamiya TBLE-02s does have LVC. Never had a chance to test it. On a technical track, the brushed motor will overheat before you run out of battery capacity and on a big open track, you can run 20-25 mins on a 4600mah battery. So still way longer than needed.

So much fun today, for never racing outdoor onroad asphalt, (only indoor carpet for me.) having 15 trucks in the class and qualifying 5th in the A, I battled back and forth for second and third ending a 1/10 sec behind second place.
Ripon rc speedway is a good spot with great racers and well kept race program.. funtimes.

While the TBLE-02s does have a LVC (low voltage cutoff) of 4.8v, it is only suitable for protecting Li-FE batteries.
The TCS Eurotruck racing that I have participated in the USA has always used Li-PO batteries and brushed motors. Since the heats/mains have only been 5 minutes long, over discharging batteries has not been an issue for any participant (that I am aware of). However you never want to over discharge Li-PO batteries as it could damage the battery and create a possible fire risk. To minimize this risk, any individual racer or track can could restrict the ESC being used in their racing to have the appropriate LVC for the battery chemistry that is being used.
