I've had the "pitch-fork" shaped retainer come loose before, but it rarely happens. The few times I had an issue with the friction dampers usually coincided with some type of large crash/incident that happened on track.

I would recommend that anyone racing the TT-01e kit purchase spares such as Tamiya TT-01 B Parts - # 51003 (https://www.tamiyausa.com/shop/spare...tt-01-b-parts/). The B Parts include 4 plastic dampers (minus the springs). Having extra dampers can come in handy if you do loose a part or they get damaged during an on track incident.

I rarely have broken any parts when racing TT-01E kits, but occasionally I have had someone step on my car and break/damage a body post. The B Parts #51003 also includes body posts as well. The added benefit of extra body posts is that you can cut down the ones being used on your Euro Truck, then swap to new ones if you should change to a different body on the vehicle.

we have a rough and tumble ET class where blocking, joker laps, and general foolishness is not only allowed, but encouraged. Let’s just say we laugh a lot! But, I had those pieces pop out twice already on different corners. I wrapped some mini zip ties around them and it hadn’t happened again, but I just don’t feel good about them. Was considering CA gluing them in place, was hoping maybe someone else has tried this approach.

When you put the shock on the truck, I place them so that the only way that pitch-fork piece is going is towards the shock tower. This way they can't really come off.

Does anyone have a source for the stock Tamiya 61 tooth spur gear? Have not had gear luck with the white aftermarket gears.

Anyone know how the race trucks get transported to the tracks in real life? Do they have specialized race haulers like a lot of types of race cars?
