Much more CTX problems - 1 line full black, other white

Hi,

I just received my charger, and whenever I plug it into the PSU, it turns on, one line on the LCD has black squares, the one below is white... what is this? How can I fix it?

Any help greatly appreciated\

look in the instruction booklet, there is a procedure towards resetting the display if incorrect caracters are displayed... this might help..

Yes, but it doesn't even go to the menu... its just stuck... could it be because I have a 5A PSU?

Anyone? I've been hearing tons of great stuff about this thing, how well it charges, and I can't even get it to run :(

Well 5amp PS isn't going to cut it, fix that first. Then take it back where you bought it from and have them replace.

i think it's a power supply issue. hook it up to your car battery and see if that helps. by car i mean real car 12 volt car battery

5A psu is fine, just as long as you don't want to charge over 5A,

make sure the PSU is supplying 12V (use a multimeter)

I got an Eagle CDC that did that, just send it back.

Well, I hooked it up to my PC PSU, and still no go :( I measured the rails with a multimeter, and on my 5A PSU, it gives me 13.8 V(with the charger plugged in) and on my PC PSU I get around 11.5V.
