If you're talking about the beeps it makes when you change a certain charge setting, then sorry, you can't remove all the sounds.

DO NOT try to charge at 6A with a 3A power supply. I suggest getting a nice power supply, it will last you for many years. The best power supply by far for your money is the Pyramid PSV200, buyreliant.com has them 55 bucks.

1700 cells? Dang, well I guess I would say charge around 4.5-5A with a cutoff around .042v. As for the AA batteries, the best would be to get a AA charger that charges the batteries individually. If not, charge them at no more than 1.2A, and use a cutoff of .036v

check your leads, also when charging do not move your leads, it creates resistance.

it can handle rx packs. my guess is, your rx batt is not used for a long time and left with no charge. it might be dead. try charging at low amps first then discharge and continue till it charges at higher amps. if not, it is definitely dead.

It depends what kind of cells, but Nicd cells will need a higher peak detection compared to Nimh.

6A linear charge .024v peak detect, unless you're charging in hot conditions, then lower the peak detect one setting. Basically you want the cells to finish charging at around 120-130 degrees.
If you want to try step charging:
7A for the first 3050mah
0.66A for the second 100mah (only qualm I have is that you can't go lower than 100mah)
5.5A for final stage.
**Note, you must enable the long lockout every time you step charge so it doesn't false peak, set it to the sum of the first and second stage, so in this case 3150mah.

Again if it's hotter, than charge at 6.0-6.5A for the first stage. If you need more punch, raise the final stage (stock) but you can lower it to 4.0-4.5A for mod. This should be a good starting point, but feel free to experiment and find what works best for you.
