Default New 1/10 F-1 cars?

A friend of my buddy's cousin said they heard about their mom's hairstylist's husband saying he read about new 1/10 F-1 cars. I've search through Yok, HPI, Ass, etc to no avail. Anyone else heard about these cars?

p.s.- I'm not reffering to the Tamiya F-1 from a decade ago.

You're not reffering to the recently-released Group-C cars are you? They're heavily based on the original Tamiya Formula1 cars..

I saw a new Thunder Tiger F1 car in one of the mags...I couldn't find any info on it anywhere and the pic in the mag wasn't very detailed. I am pretty sure it was a gas car though.

LMAO! After all most hairstylists talk about R/C often.

And for the rest of you who were hiding under the same rock I was .... Tamiya's F1 cars are now 4wd and still look realistic. They're also fairly inexpensive! Looks like a TCS race is in my not so distant future. Thanks again for the heads up guys.

The owner of those cars Marty Peterson is a nice helpful guy if you pm him he will answer all your questions and tell you about the series he runs.

Are they implying the car will be unreliable by including the McLaren Shell? Hopefully they'll have other (read: better) shells available.

There is a local company here in Indy making cars. You use their chassis with an associated front end and pod off a pan car.

RC IndyCars

They started making them to keep the open wheel class alive at the Velodrome but could be used for onroad too. Bodies are the hard part though. You pretty much have to find something off ebay for it unless you want a lame IRL body.

Heres a pic of mine with an old Associated body on it.
