Great pics! Thanks for sharing. We have a lot of discussions but rarely share pictures of our cars.

Here's mine setup for carpet next week. I decided to pick a MT-44 and sit the M12 out for a while.

I ran the RTC for the first time yesterday, conditions were less then ideal with a track temperature reaching 60 deg C (140F) it were certainly hot.

Traction was on the lower side due to the control tyres overheating but my car was still fast, and managed to win the day and set the fastest lap time.

It took a little to get used to the RTC as the corner is no longer linear but I felt overall I was faster with it left on. I think its a good option to try on a outdoor flowing track.

Definitely lighter than the M12! Running 3 AAA is a plus for me. Let's be honest do we use all the functions on the M12. I know I don't! I'll give a quick review after the race.

Nice! I've yet to try a LRP esc, the new flow x tc has peaked my interest. Front bumper is from teameam +6mm slim, made for X-ray T4, some quick modifications is required to work on yokomo. Comes in different variations, shown on his website.

lol I had to read this twice 140f???? So did you run RTC box setup, maybe changed the static toe a bit for your conditions?

its the middle of summer here, so not surprising really.
There was still enough traction for the RTC to work in stock trim, I think it was about 2.2 static toe, my setup station doesn't show that finer degree.
I am sure the less static toe was helping keep down rear tyre temp.

I tried to put some shims in the diffs but they would not allow the diff to be smooth.

Martin, I have friends who run metal gears because they were having the same issues as you..... Not sure where you can find them though

Martin, Cristian said the only way he was able to fix his was by replacing the diff case.

Default R1 motor

Anyone tried fitting one of the newer R1 motors (v11 or v15)? Just tried to install my v11 but because it the motor screws are installed from the front (pinion end) the top deck (at layshaft end) hits the screw head. Had to remove one of the 3 motor screws to get the clearance for the top deck. With the motor screw in I only just had clearance with the motor fully forward with no room for mesh adjustment.

Alternatively I'd have to rotate the motor and mess up my lovely wiring and everything would be a tight fit...... Which I'm about to do 😩

I stopped to talk with Martin Crisp today at the track and his diff seems better now with the Orange Orings.
