Just wanted to ask what people thought or were using with the G11pro esc. I noticed someone had a pic of their car with a novak shottky diode attached, and said that it helped the esc run cooler when using low wind motors (7t).

Is it necessary to run a shottky diode??? what are the benefits??? Is the a negative???

Also, what settings do most use to run low wind mods on med-large outdoor asphalt tracks? (driv freq, brake freq, and current lim)

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I have never had heat issue's with the G10 or G11 but only run down to about a 11turn in off-road or 19t on carpet in saloon.

Settings are a personal thing, the lower winds I tend to run a higher drive frequency and brakes I setup so they stop the car in a straight line so it depends on grip levels, the highter the grip, the lower the brake Fequenct the sharper the brakes.

I run down to 8 turn all the time with no problems. Have also done a few runs with a 6 turn with no problems. Tekin builds them so you don't need anything added on the outside.

Can't help you setting for pavement as I only run on carpet. You can browse through the Tekin site and probably find some.

take care
John
