ChrisP I will say that my G10 worked great. It was an old version but still worked great for me. It ran as good as my Keyence or my LRP Q2 that I use now. It is a little bigger unit but overallmy G10 worked great. I will say that my G10 was the easiest high end speedo to adjust. Took seconds to change if need be right before a race.

i would give it a try, i have had roughly 5 QC2's, 1 keyence, and about 3 Novaks - even though the G11 is a tad bigger, i will be sticking with Tekin - great service/customer relations, great product - you won't be disappointed

It helps....and even though the G11 andGTX + cap are about the same size..I have some flexibility in the placement of the cap and I already own the GTX vs. having to go out and buy a G11....

if my Maxmod truer sells then I may just have to spring for a G11 Pro...

Remember, the further the cap is away from the ESC the less effective it is.

Below are the pics of my FK05 with the G11Pro. The T2 pics can be found in the T2 thread here:

As you can see, the G11's batt wires line up perfectly to run under the tape in between the cells.

All I can say Is I love Tekin. I have a G10pro. Unfortunatly a fet fell out at a race. fell in to my MI2 with no problems. actully had room to spare(mind you not much). I'm using a qc2. it okay. still like the feel of the Tekin more. With people wanting a smaller esc. Man when I went with the QC2. my car was even more under weight. With cars getting lighter, Man you just have to place more wieght in them to keep them legal.
Now I just have to get off my %$# and send the Tekin in for a repair and update.

Yup, feel free to use the photos... I can e-mail them to you, but it's probably just the same for you to take the ones right from here. I've also managed to delicately stuff it into a 12th scale car pretty nicely. Admittedly, I'd like to have a smaller option for 12th and certain TCs & 4wd off road cars, but not having the giant caps and diodes is a nice trade off.

If you notice in the CEFX C12, there are no capacitors, diodes or any other external electronic devices anywhere. Spektrum + Tekin = less to go wrong.

I'm trying to decide between the G11 Pro or the Novak GTX... but I heard the G11 ESC doesn't like digital servos? Is this true? I'd be running this with a spektrum 3 channel reciever.. so would I just need to buy a cap and then it would be alright? Whats the deal????

I have run Spektrum/Tekin G10pro+ with digital and analog Futaba servos with 4-cell and 6-cell, stock and 19T motors, and have had ZERO issues, and I don't run the power spike cap. The system is flawless in my experience. After 23 years of running as many capacitors as you could solder to a motor, diodes and everything else, I absolutely love the setup I run right now. It's as clean and simple as you could ever want, and only a 3" antenna sticking out the top of the car.

However, I will be running that same setup with a mod motor in off-road cars this summer, and I will be looking at the need to use the cap.

I highly recommend you continue down your original path and roll with it. I doubt you will be disappointed.

[edit: I misread your intent to use the G11pro, I don't have experience with that ESC yet, but I will]
