Can't wait. Good job and good forward thinking on class structure guys. What is it now, 77 days until Code Brown?

Def going to try and make this race, heard so much about it already! The gate crew puts on a hell of a show!

If I sign up for 2 classes and 1 is dropped/refunded - what are my options for the other class?

The intent is to allow some flexibility so that a group of guys can decide to fill one class over another instead of two classes being dropped. Is that what you meant, Ken? |
wow, just kill WGT. What's the motor for f1?

We decided to trim the fat, so to speak, since last years race had 12 classes and Sunday ran way too long. Unfortunately, WGT was right near the top of the list, it seems like a fun class just not much interest in it in our region. VTA was another victim that is marginally popular at non-USVTA events that just did not have a strong showing for us.
We left some classes available that we do not expect to reach the minimum of 18 but figured they'd have the best shot of reaching it with a consolidated list. GTR, for example, may make it since WGT was eliminated. We expect TC 13.5 and 1/12th Mod to not make it but should see larger fields in TC Mod and 1/12th 13.5. I'm signing up for TC 13.5 but if it doesn't make it I will jump into Mod (which should be entertaining for everyone else at least). Our intent is to offer the most popular classes with deep quals and mains to have better matches of skill level which should improve the quality of racing for everyone and also improve the time factor and fun value of the weekend. Hopefully there is another class that appeals to you or would consider trying :) |

Might have to turn the (new) VTA car into a USGT car for this race; anybody got a 21.5 and a battery I can borrow? :P |
Fewer classes with more participants in each.......should be more like the good old days. I like it.
