-spec handout tires for TC 17.5, 13.5, and Mod: 2 sets max of Jaco Blue $25 p/set, addl practice sets available for purchase
-spec handout tires for 1/12 17.5 class: 4 sets max of BSR Purple Stripe $20 p/set, addl practice sets available for purchase
-spec handout tires for USGT: 2 set max of Gravity USGT spec tires $25 p/set

$60 first class
$40 each additional

SXT compound: 1 bottle with entry
SXT Light allowed and for sale in our Hobby Shop
No other compounds allowed.

-No refunds, unless not enough pre registered people for a class (minimum 18 p/class)*

*Stipulation is that we get 18 racers pre-registered for a class by Sep 30th. 18 is the decided number to generate 3 heats of 6 and 2 mains of 9 (or 10 and 8 depending on qual spread). Example: only 11 people pre-register for 1/12th Mod, the class will be dropped and entry fees refunded.

We are instituting class drops and smaller amount of classes to choose from in order to make the race more efficient. Last year we had a bunch of classes with very few people that really added to the total round times and mains. We want to get everyone out at a decent time on Sunday.

Can't wait. Good job and good forward thinking on class structure guys. What is it now, 77 days until Code Brown?

If I sign up for 2 classes and 1 is dropped/refunded - what are my options for the other class?

You can either be refunded the cost of the second class or choose another class.

The intent is to allow some flexibility so that a group of guys can decide to fill one class over another instead of two classes being dropped.

Is that what you meant, Ken?

I can't remember the last time I saw a WGT go around a track

F1 will be ROAR Approved 25.5

We decided to trim the fat, so to speak, since last years race had 12 classes and Sunday ran way too long. Unfortunately, WGT was right near the top of the list, it seems like a fun class just not much interest in it in our region. VTA was another victim that is marginally popular at non-USVTA events that just did not have a strong showing for us.

We left some classes available that we do not expect to reach the minimum of 18 but figured they'd have the best shot of reaching it with a consolidated list. GTR, for example, may make it since WGT was eliminated. We expect TC 13.5 and 1/12th Mod to not make it but should see larger fields in TC Mod and 1/12th 13.5. I'm signing up for TC 13.5 but if it doesn't make it I will jump into Mod (which should be entertaining for everyone else at least).

Our intent is to offer the most popular classes with deep quals and mains to have better matches of skill level which should improve the quality of racing for everyone and also improve the time factor and fun value of the weekend.

Hopefully there is another class that appeals to you or would consider trying

WGT-R replaces WGT. Slower yes, but way more competitive. You can't run off and hide.

*Damn*.

Might have to turn the (new) VTA car into a USGT car for this race; anybody got a 21.5 and a battery I can borrow? :P

Fewer classes with more participants in each.......should be more like the good old days. I like it.
