We decided to trim the fat, so to speak, since last years race had 12 classes and Sunday ran way too long. Unfortunately, WGT was right near the top of the list, it seems like a fun class just not much interest in it in our region. VTA was another victim that is marginally popular at non-USVTA events that just did not have a strong showing for us.
We left some classes available that we do not expect to reach the minimum of 18 but figured they'd have the best shot of reaching it with a consolidated list. GTR, for example, may make it since WGT was eliminated. We expect TC 13.5 and 1/12th Mod to not make it but should see larger fields in TC Mod and 1/12th 13.5. I'm signing up for TC 13.5 but if it doesn't make it I will jump into Mod (which should be entertaining for everyone else at least).
Our intent is to offer the most popular classes with deep quals and mains to have better matches of skill level which should improve the quality of racing for everyone and also improve the time factor and fun value of the weekend.
Hopefully there is another class that appeals to you or would consider trying

-spec handout tires (TBD) for 1/12 17.5 class (4 set max)
Can we get some clarification on this fairly quick (over this weekend, before the sign up goes live) as I and a few others run Pro-One hubs/tires.
I (we) were planning to run 1/12th 17.5 and WGT-R, but need to know if I'm not going to be running 1/12th now.
Are the hand outs included with the sign up cost or on top of that?

The 60 entry fee does not include them.

The Summer Slam was a USVTA event so it drew in the VTA people. Last year's H Classic only ended up with 12 or 13 VTA entries.
