I have a new pack of GP3700s (1.193v avg) and a new pack of IB3800s (1.195/6 v avg) from Promatch.

They both feel quite a bit better than my best 3300s ever did. Plus they both seem to have similar punch. However the GP3700s usually peak a bit lower then the IB38s. (GP37s 4200ish vs. 44/4500 IB38s.)

I feel that they are still good cells and for someone needing good race batteries on a budget, you can't beat the prices of the GP3700s right now.

The guys who say Team Orion is fake, are a bunch of under-educated and hardheaded. Team Orion bluntly said that the RDS system means "Race Discharge Simulation", now you remember. This means that during the matching process they vary the discharge rate, like from 10-35 amps. Their not fake their smart. By the way who is the onroad champ?

here is the latest ifno i have found on the new cells that came out when they announced 4300s...

Please note: The recently released new Team Orion V-Max+RDS GP3700 SP2 will NOT be replaced by the new GP4300! See information underneath:

Specially developed by GP for the stock racer. To be used in 12t - 19t – 23t - 27t or any 5 minute racing class with a motor limit. The lowest IR in the market guarantees maximum acceleration, the highest Voltage gives maximum top speed. Extremely fast VRT (Voltage Recovery Time) to warrant maximum acceleration and top speed at all times!

Available as:

ORI11045 - GP3700SP2 - 1 cell
ORI11307 - GP3700SP2 V-Max Spec (7.2V - 6 cells)

If the GP3700SP2 are so good why are all Orion drivers at the Snowbirds using IB3800s ?

At the DHI cup IB3600s finished 2nd and 3rd and were very competitive with 5 out of the top 10 using Intellect cells.

There is allot of propaganda and politics involved with batteries but racers who are allowed and can use Intellect cells prefer them over GPs. Every major US event has been won with Intellect IB3800s and we look forward to be allowed to run the IB4200s at the major races in Europe.

Hey Danny I told you few months ago that I'd try the IB3800's and man was I impressed. I ran them in 1/12 and won the A-Main at the first Florida State of the year with them. I pulled the trigger from the begining and never let off. Not only did I not dump but I never came close to in a 8 minute race. After the race I dumped them down to 3.6 on my GFX, and it took 47 seconds. This wasn't even stock it was 19 turn.
