Default Full Throttle Champs presented by RC America!

Hey guys,

Banana Raceway in Dallas will be hosting the first Full Throttle Champs the 12th-14th of August. Below is the flier. Our list of out of state racers has grown to be a great start for our first big race. Include the massive travel group that is Texas and we are looking at a packed house. Website will be up by tomorrow morning and sign ups should go live at that point.

Drew Ellis
Eric Anderson
Kyle Klingforth
Brent Klingforth
Chris Hillier
Kevin Van Ert
Witta
Dan Hamman

Lots of practice, Air conditioning, and no rain! Johnee Fenimore will be the trophy girl if you are into that kind of thing.

I have been asked about the 12th scale tires. The 17.5 class will be an open tire. Most will still use the purple stripe, but it will be open this year. Depending on the increased reception of the spec tire over the next carpet season, we may move to it as the tire only for future FTC's.

On the 17.5 12th there, I found blue rears cut down to 39mm and dbl blue fronts cut to 38.5 at the same seemed to work best there. They lasted the whole EOS weekend and I was surprised to say the least. The tire wear was very minimal. If I am not mistaken, I think Cristian ended up on those tires as well and won the weekend. The fronts required the sidewalls glued as well.
I hope that helps people planning tire selection.
