Default Which ESC to buy???

I am thinking about buying a new esc (currently have a GTB with 5.5 and I am not that happy with its braking ability - a bit soft for my liking).

Anyway, the esc I am looking at are: (in no particular order)

Tekin G11 Pro
Twister v2.1 (hara edition)
LRP Quantum 2 with worlds kit
Ko VFS-1 pro competition

Need something to handle touring car mod motors (mainly 7t in hot conditions 30'C ambient temps). I basically want something that is easy to use, robust, reliable, and adjustable (especially the brakes).

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

G-11 is bullet proof, although at them winds you MAY need to run a schottky diode on the motor, but then you might not, depends if you get any glitching. Very robust to and great customer service.

Get the GTX.
LRP and digital servos don't get along very well.(glitching)
If you are using a spectrum, this will just make the problem worse from what I understand.

the KO ESC's might require more then a few diodes with that motor...the KO diodes are rather $$$$$$$

I have a Tekin G10+ and its is great. It has run stock and an 8x1 mod motor perfectly. I run Spektrum and a KO 2123 digital servo. I've never had a single glitch. Even after running the 8x1 for 8 minutes straight with lots of hard acceleration and braking, the Tekin is cool enough to touch. Also, it does not require any big caps or heat sinks. From what I hear, the G11 is even better.

I think Tekin is the way to go.

Go for KO VFS-1 Competition.
It still has very high temp cut-off. Don't worry.

well, for my it is very clear. Keyence is the best, followed by Novak and from a far distance LRP is third. And then the IPC series are "better" than the quantum series. (But the IPC has no outer wire connectors). The rest of the esc's (in my opinion) are just "populair"... but then again, i may be forgetting a brand aswell that in fact is up there with keyence and novak..,

That's not a true statement. For myself along with countless others, that's all we've ever run and with no problems.

If you can wait, I would wait another month or so for the QC3. It has tons of changes to it and if nothing else, it coming to market should have the effect of lowering the price of the others you mentioned.

But you cannot go wrong with any of the ESC's you mentioned! Take a look at Novak too.

I think the GTB brakes just fine and has alot more braking power than my LRP QC2. I had to set my braking to 15% when using a oneway but I only had to set it to 45% with my LRP. If your going to change I'd say the Tekin but I don't think you will get any more braking power out of it.
