Hudy definitely

Even if you get the other ones, get Hudy arbors and carbide blade

What is he said, but really is you put the Hudy next to 3Racing. 3Racing has the built in tire rounder with Hudy you'll being paying for name

Is the 3Racing truer strong enough to trim 1/10 touring car tires down to 56mm in one pass? That seems to be the feature that the OFNA and Hudy truers have that the Integy truers lack.

What a waste...truing all they way to 56mm to begin with. Try 57.5 or even 58 to start. It's still low enough to be fast.

maybe Jaco,TRC and Parma should sell 56mm foams at a lower cost

You're right... I was just trying to pick an extreme example. Normally I would trim a new set down to 58 to start with.

For the record, I've currently got an Integy truecut-light lathe, and that thing can't trim more than maybe 0.5 mm of a purple touring car tire off at a time without bogging down or having to go very, very slowly across the tire.

The Integy Autotruecut truer is considerably faster to use, but I don't think that the motor is much stronger, if at all. But it's faster to use since the cutting arm is motorized.

Still, I think the OFNA and Hudy truers are supposed to be much stronger. Glad to hear the 3Racing motor is strong as well.

I have one of the newer style corally/ofna units and the new ones are a lot stronger than the previous ones. You can take off as much as you like in one pass.

I still want to get the 3 racing unit though...I just couldnt find one when I needed a truer and bought the corally/ofna to get me by.

Bob,
My Ofna eats foam tires for breakfast. It is cheap and fast working. If you are racing on Sunday I can show you as I will probably bring it up to Mikes.
