Definitely, homey. Hawaii is like the mecca of rc drifting in the US. I heard it's huge out there. Thanks for the invite! I would love to learn from you guys.

Dude, you don't need introducing and I know it won't take you long to get some respect there. All they gotta read is all that RC knowledge flowing from ya!

cool. not sure about mecca but we try to have fun. we even have a rally night with 90% stock tl-01's with little bridges and all. we put a 4x10 sheetmetal plate and wet it to simulate ice and drifted mean turns. gonna get vid of that when we rally sunday.

a while ago marny from GD stopped by when it was rainy and we were stuck at a mall where security was a pain. we got it sorted out now and it is crazy. last night there was 13+ guys on the track at many times with more playing outside. next week will have a mean competition hopefully 20+ entries and we will start our series that will end at the august? car show.

i tried to hit up the cali events, but i am always missing them because i'd be there for thursday and then drive to LV to gamble for the weekend or be just too far away.

That's awesome you guys get that many to show up just for a regular get together. You guys are pulling in as many drifters for one night of unorganized fun as the big GD drift meets! Yeah, I'd say you guys are the mecca of rc drifting in the US.

I was up in Toronto this past weekend and there were only 4-6 guys at the track drifting. The rest were racers. If I didn't live 4 hours away, I'd definitely be the one promoting the scene in Toronto and trying to get it organized. Oh well...

take some 2 in pipe, and put it on some rims
then tighten your rear dif, and front

then just drift, dont worry about camber and crap, just that
and when u get really good at it, then experament

well thedudeaturdoor

you cant really do that

because when you do that and your set-up could be possible terrible

and with that you can have bad habbits when it comes to a good set-up

I tried doing that and I absolutely had a horrible time trying to drift. I started reading the forums, setup my car right in terms of springs, camber, toe-in, diffs and I even bought a set-up system 'cause I was sick of eyeballing settings. Now my car is drifting great. I just have to practice on a track. Going around pylons, cans, etc. is one thing but then trying to go on a track really takes some control.

BTW, that was the rice cooker you were checkin' out. lol...

alright always start from stock and work your self up from that

first off get some abs piping thats fits your wheels and mount them on properly

when thats set, now set-up your chamber at -1 or -.5 degree on all round

try to keep the toe to the very minimal if you want to have best results when it comes to fine tuning your car

and as for the diffs just keep it both open ball diffs and have the rear .75 of a full turn tighter than the front

as for the motor get a monster and keep motors stock

highest wind i would go is a 19 turn

this is just to get you going but work from there
