Sounds like all you can do is try balancing? Maybe the internal fuse blew?

I checked the balance and both cells were dead even at 3.78 volts. Go figure.

It is difficult to know what the problem may be. I can only suggest charging it on a different charger. We have seen instances where the charger says the batteries are charged when infact they are not.

On a side note, last night was the annual R/C Car Action magazine Reader's Choice Award presentation banquet. I am proud to tell everyone that the Platinum LiPo was awarded the Battery of the Year honor! Since these awards are voted on by the readers, LiPo technology is being embraced on a wider scale than ever and an award like this will only contrbute to the overall acceptance of LiPo use in R/C cars.

For those that voted, thank you! And thank you to all others that have suported this product.

I have set up a traveling On Road Championship Series here in Colorado to try and build back some racing. On thing that I did was to allow Lipo batteries and Brushless motors in the same class. It would be great if there was a case that gave the Lipo the same weight as the current sub-c so that weight was not an issue. I did see the Nexus bars, and will print that for our racers. To keep things somewhat even I have asked that the Lipo racers add weight to match the weight of the Sub-C cells and not just to get the car to ROAR weight.

Anyone else had this issue??

Also, we do have a 1/10 Pan car class that mostly uses saddle packs. Any possiblity of a Lipo Saddle??

Thanks

What?! You mean they didn't vote matched 4200s with great numbers as the top battery? I'm shocked. Shocked!

Seriously, though, congratulations to all of you guys, you've contributed a lot to R/C with the hard case LiPo packs and deserve all the recognition you can handle.

Hi Andrew if you have further issues please fell free to give us a call or even send the battery into us so we can analize the pack and if it has a flaw we can replace it for you.

Rick/Mr Black,

Are there any plans for a larger capacity Platinum pack? Maybe something in the 6000 mah range?

Two questions for the Orion guys:

1) When do you think the heavier platinums will be released? (Even a ball park estimate would be appreciated.)

2) Is there any way I will be able to send in my current platinums and pay to make them heavier? (If it's just the case being changed, could they be swapped out?)

Thanks in advance for the answers.

There are plans for more capacity, but we want to keep the same philosophy of providing a pack that can fit in the same basic space as sub-c batteries. A 6000+ pack is in development.

1) In the next 60-90 days is the plan.
2) This wil not work because this heavier battery will be a 3200 pack in the 4800 case with the voids ballasted.

Rick,

so can i send in my "old" 3200s packs so they can be converted into the "new heavier" 3200 packs?
