Has anyone found a cheaper shop ?

try rc-cars.de . It is my source on Germany, although not the only one. You can try Japan and Taiwan as well, is cheaper.

My Li-po went flat @ aldershot track in 27t done about 25-30 mins pratice in 4 segments

but it showed 6.9v when it went on charger 1.5 hour ltr 5690 mah in the bugger
so i went 19t pratice down another track for another blast with out charging & done like 4-5 pratice sessions trying to sort the blooming car out

So as much as I avoid doing this, I really don't have the time to read all 24 pages, so I'm forced to ask a question or 2 that may have been already answered, sorry to all of you that flame for no reason. I'd message Rick about this personally, but he's disabled that feature....

How many discharge amps is the pack rated for? Is there any danger of reaching this if running a 12x2 V2, assuming proper gearing ofcourse? What about a Novak 5.5r? I ask because of the few pages I did read, most information about runtimes and whatnot was about much higher turn motors.

Thanks!
Chris

Thanks for the info! I looked everywhere and couldn't find that out...

Now I just have to figure out what to do about saddle pack cars...

Come on, Orion! There's lots of cars that use saddle packs! There's a market!

Rick Howart himself has been asked and answered this question. According to him, there is no market, as you say. (I however, agree with you... I've got 5 cars that use saddle packs!!!)

If you are really want some saddle packs you can go here: www.maxamps.com

But I've not tried any of their cells, so I can't give any claims as to quality, safety or durability of the packs. Hope this helps!!

I as well have 5 that use saddle, and only 2 that use stick... Granted, 1 of the saddle cars is my mini inferno and it uses tiny packs, but it's still saddle

You can use saddle packs in cars that use stick packs, but the reverse is not true. Frankly, I believe Orion made a poor decision making the packs stick, because they only work in one type of car. Saddles work in both cars. Wish they'd realized that before they sunk all that money into a product that many people can't even use... No offense to Rick, but he's wrong saying there's no market. They would have covered the ENTIRE market (except for the x-5 because it uses a 4x2 config) if they had made a saddle pack... Oh well. Guess I'll have to give some other company my business, as much as I love Orion products.

I've looked at maxamps, and am thinking of going that direction, but ofcourse would rather have an Orion saddle pack, if they made one... Plus I like that hard case Orion has.

Thanks for the help, guys. Guess the rest is up to my wallet now, lol.
