Some resellers have their own policies regarding air transport of LiPo batteries. The Platinum is certitifed for air transport, but many LiPos are not. It is easier for Tower to make a general policy rather than make specific allowances for one specific item.

There are other companies here that will ship them by air.

I think not, but besides label, is there any other difference between the peak racing and team orion? warranty, service, weight, anything not visible to the naked eye?

asked if could use the li-po No! reason they blow
so do c-cells ;;i said
he said ;; BRCA cover him (ins) for blowing up sub c-cells coz they are on the list

this won`t be the same reason at another club either ,it will be some thing else

pratice will be no bother
but there are 3 other club`s that will let you race with them

Rick
you like consistency in the rule`s , that`s fine
but when you have a body that say`s jump , you ask ;high high , there are so many rule`s in on road electric
IE;; @ last national race officals starting to point out to drivers that the grill stickers were not in the right place properly nect minute they want the door handle`s on

more of a oppressor then a progressor most of the drivers are old hands , not enough young blood being encouraged to come in & made to `FEEL` welcome
to many rule`s ,can`t have a piss with out asking them

Is any one running a Low Voltage Detector for Lipo? If so which one?

I ran my pack today, it was GREAT, I ran it 20 mins (not all at one time), Great punch and Great power....

I hope that ROAR takes note that there membership is starting to support these packs.

Punch is always the same and if it decrease you can balance the Platinum with the http://www.teamorion-avionics.com/Ad...harging+System

Charging cell one and then cell two.

today i accidentally hooked up the wrong wires and basically shorted the Platnium lipo.

I saw the sparks and the wires got hot and the ESC shut off right away.

I am happy that the platnium lipo didn't blow up on me right away!

sorry, but noone here have the peak racing lipo pack? (please see my previous post).

In other hand, Nicolas, its seems that you can balance the pack with any lipo charger, using the third connector.... not necessarily only by using the orion charger you post, am I correct?

cheers,

that`s good to know that the Peak/orion li-po can take a bit of grief

I started racing 3 years ago. Never blew up anything because of reverse polarity BECAUSE I foolproofed my system. Sorry guys but experience has nothing to do with mistakes we accidentally make. Thanks for the hint (deans plug).

bvoltz I'm using these:
FMA Auto Cell
They seem to do the trick as a basic throttle cutoff. Haven't had the time to mess with the custom throttle cutoff though and I'm using the default setting.
