It does take quite a while to charge. Esp the second part of the charge. At least it does for me on my ICE.

Well it usually takes about an hour (just guessing never timed it) after about 25 min of using it. So based on that I would guess about 10-20 min.

I heard that they make 19 minutes with a JMRCA 23 turn motor ! And that the standard racing will be 15 minutes !

I would guess 112g which is the weight difference between the lipo and 6 IB3800 cells. Im thinking of doing the same thing though Im going to put the weights either on the inside (since I have my battery a little to the outside) or spread them out. I assume all on one side isnt as close to a real battery as you can get. A real battery would be equal on both sides and sit a little lower on the chassis (I have plastic on the bottom of mine that goes in the battery slots).

big ones 10g small 5g

I did have weights either side of the battery, but the inside weights ran very close to the belt.

Also the two end weights butt upto the battery posts, so there is no chance of the pack moving inwards.

95grams of lead

total weight of lipo 361g

A GP3300 = approx 387g

My car was always over weight

I've already raced mine in 19T class on carpet. It was very, very impressive. As was mentioned here before, how much of a increase in speed and punch you see will depend on how good your regular packs are.

What I mean is, if you use $70-$80 packs with 1.2+ volts, then the Platinum will likely feel about the same with a slight boost from the weight loss.

If however, you use $45-$55 middle of the road packs with around 1.19v, then you will notice quite a difference in speed and punch.

And of course, theres the comfort of knowing you'll end the race at the same speed you started it at, and you'll never dump...
