Absolutely right, JR used to use the name JR Propo here(in the US) for a long time, while KO did the same. But I think they felt that American consumers were getting confused by it so they changed it here to JR Racing & KO stayed the same. It is still the same radio, you're just looking at one that was sold overseas. It is NOT a knockoff, it IS JR, either way. And I know this because I've been in this hobby long enough to have seen them do the name change.....

JR Racing, JR Radios, JR PROPO is the same company.

KO PROPO is a seperate company or rather a division of KONDO KAGAKU Co. Ltd.

JR stands for Japan Racing.

KO stands for the first character of the base company name KONDO.

In Japan, PROPO stands for Tx or Proportional System.

Kondo is an OEM company, thus you may see some familuar products by other brands.

They may sound similuar but are two seperate companies.
