It will handle it no problem, and a 6 turn mod to boot!

no not a lipo pack. i dont have one so i am only 99.99999999% sure that its cant use lipo because lipo is different then a 6cell pack.

and your question of 7.2v if you look at ur charger (if you have one with a readout) when a pack peaks it peaks usually over 9v even one from a few years ago. but lipo runs differently so they take special ESCs

Lipolys don't need a special kind of ESC. Lipoly cells are fully charged at 4.2 volts per cell. 8.4 volts peak for a 2S pack. Any ESC that's designed for 6 Nicd/Nihm cells should be able to handle that voltage without a problem. Most Nickel cells peak at about 1.5 volts (9 volts for a 6 cell pack).

However, what you won't have with a esc that's not designed specifically for lipolys is a low voltage cutoff. Lipolys don't like to be discharged much below 3 volts per cell. 2.7 volts per cell is about the lowest you can go before you start damaging them. It's not so much the esc you have to worry about ruining, but the batteries.
