I ran mine very briefly (one 6 min run) today at MB raceway. just a shakedown run and it performed excellently. It felt quite different to the old model, but drove equally as well. I went with my same setup, 550cst (3 hole), 10k side dampers silver side springs, but with the 2019 kit silver main damper spring, not the Black I ran on the old car. It felt like it had a little less initial steering, but felt very safe to drive and push hard. I look forward to my first race with it next week.

Has anyone tried the X-Ray gear diff in the YRX12? If so, how do you like it? Is the width narrower than 172mm?

I may have missed it somewhere. But does anyone know of a chart for all of the optional springs? Side springs and push rod and center shock

Ran my car in Germany in 6.5 mod last weekend. ETS carpet that had a large TC race on it the week before. Grip felt quite edgy on line with practically nothing off line. Ran Hotrace Hagbergs with Speedtech sauce. Started at kit settings and tried a bunch of stuff, ended up running a blue centre spring, black sides, 10k tubes, very little rear droop, full caster and 2mm of reactive caster. Still felt like I wanted more overal grip but it wasn't like I was lacking steering other than at high speed or on power where it would just drift off line sideways rather than push through the front if that makes sense.

I just bought the 2019 YR x12 and was wondering if I can use a Futaba 9650 servo in the stock position. I tried reading through this thread but can't seem to find a direct mention of the servo.
Was hoping someone can give me feedback. I did see that an Xpert M3301 would work, but I would like to stay with a Futaba since I have the same on my Xray X12.

Thanks

I have not tried the S9650 in the direct position. Mount it and see if it would work. I have the Xpert 3301 in my YRX12 and like it.

Are you saying that you have the M3301 on direct? Does it also work with the stock placement?

I am using the 3301 with the bell crank. It should work using it in direct but never tried it.

I've tried running both configurations with the 9650.. I like the crank better for weight distribution but you can easily run it both ways.. albiet a bit cramped.

Ran my car at the first national race of the year and struggled. Car was inconsistent in stock and mod, although better in mod which I put down to tyre choice being more correct. Went through the car with a fine tooth comb afterwards and realised I had a LOT of front droop when set up as per the instructions. increased the gap on the pushrod from 3.5mm to 3.7mm and now have 0.5mm uptravel. Hopefully this will make the car a lot more balanced than it has been.

I'm planning to back to back the kingpin springs with the normal Yokomo layout this weekend. Should be on low/medium grip. Then again next weekend on higher grip where I also want to try the 2019 vs older car pod top plate.

I have tried putting the Futaba 9650 in the crank position but could not get it to fit. I am leaning on doing it direct.
Any comments?

Thanks
