You can email them and ask for the tax to be omitted from the bill. We generally don't have to pay an import tax but occasionally there is/are additional shipping fees from customs and or the shipping company. If that happens, then you'll receive a notice (from FedEx for example) to pay a fee. If you don't then it gets turned over to a debt collection agency and they hit you up with more fees. I haven't had it happen with RC stuff, but I did with auto parts.

Sounds like too much trouble to get a chassis from Europe. Most likely I'll wait for the car to become available thru one of the Japan based online shops. They seem to be easy enough to deal with.

Yeah, don't worry about customs or fees. Just email them so that you don't get charged the tax unless if you don't mind paying it. hehe I order from ToniSport and it's like 2~3 day shipping. But it'll probably be cheaper from Japan shops anyways. I'll let you know if I see it.

True. Michal (Mibosport / Yokomo Europe) and Toni (Tonisport) both offer excellent service.

I doubt it somehow. The R12C3 didn't support it, and I believe most 1/12th scale use the transverse battery setup, or don't they? Oh and it usually takes (at least!) a couple of days after the first kits have reached the shops, for Yokomo to put the manuals online. Their website is... let's say old school and not all that up-to-date.

Yes, it would be 21.5 on 2s. I highly doubt Toto is racing this class, probably testing a few setups to see how it performs.

Anyone know the wheel base of the 12C3.1? The YRX12 brochure says it is 4mm longer wheelbase than the 12C3.

This is the standard size for the 7.4 2s lipos 46.59318.3mm. Which if I'm not mistaken is exactly, if not close to a 3.7v 1s lipo.

No modifications are necessary just a 21.5 and a 7.4v lipo that has a 1s case size.
