The benefit of the long shock is usually better rear traction, it's helpful on asphalt and really low grip carpet.

So the better rear traction using the long shock setup is acchieved by more chassis flex?

Among some other things I'm a little fuzzy on, yes. And you could try either way, mounted to the chassis or floating, it just depends on what you like and what surface you're racing on. It's still a flex adjustment.

I have a question for the users of the car.

What is the outer diameter of the lower suspension arm pivot ball???

Either in inch or metric but I need the precise measurement.

If it is going "straight" while going slow, like checking to make sure it goes straight, and only goes left under full throttle situations, check;
  1. Tweak in the car.
  2. Bearings
  3. Weight distribution - this shouldn't matter too much under hard acceleration unless it's a lot...
  4. Check your front kingpin springs, make sure they aren't very old - those little springs give up after some runs (especially after kissing the barriers).
Put the car on a setup station if you can, not imperative but it helps. If you have good calipers you can measure steering left to right to check it. Also, if you can't find it in the 3 listed, throw on a different set of tires and see if that makes a difference, because if you are running CRC premount tires the fronts can sometimes be horribly out of balance...

aracefan already directly answered your question, but the part numbers are quite clearly labeled in the manual.

thank you for your help. i found the two screw came out of the back of the car. i will put the tires on the balancer
