I can't remember when it was, but this is my first time driving an F1/pan car, so I was all over the place. I'm glad that I picked up the new, stronger uprights when they came out, so I didn't have much down time.

I know it was allready discussed but couldn‘t find the right posts anymore ...
Which steel pivot balls can be used instead of the plasic ones for the front suspension arms?
I had some at home with a diameter of 5.8 mm but this is too small - the arms will have some slope especially vertically.
So I guess I need some with a diameter of 5.9 mm.
Which ones can I use?
Do the B5 shock pivots work?
Associated B5 #91448
Or any other links / part numbers?

I used the B6 pivots in mine. Just had to lightly use my reamer on both sides of the sockets until the pivots moved smoothly. Vastly improved the way the car works now.

Hmmm--I've built two of these cars for friends and I didn't have any slop in these? Have they changed the kits recently? Both cars I built are working very well. Mike Mayberry has one--but we DID experience a weird thing--he stripped TWO spur gears back to back. We could not find any movement in the motor? Has anyone experienced this before?? I ensured the gears were properly set for mesh both times---I've got 3 other F-1's and have not had any problems on any of them???

Default Rear axle ride height inserts

A friend had an issue with stripping spurs. He finally diagnosed the issue of having one of the rear axle ride height adjusters in the forward position and the other in the rear position.

Default Stripped spur

I noticed a small play between the pod and the height adjusters - fixed it with aluminum tape.
