I am honestly not 100% sure but I don't think I would be able to stand the orange part on a blue car. I think the Xray may actually be a little longer. 7075 Aluminum seems to be the standard in RC. I honestly don't think the post is going to bend often. There may have been the occasional bent part out of the box. As someone else mentioned, just putting in a longer screw would should help a lot.

I've seen a few guys bend the 26mm top plate stand off as well. From what I can see it looks like the problem is that the post a bit soft for an area of impact absorbtion.

I have given out a few tamiya f104 top deck standoffs (also 26mm) to use as replacements that seem to be a bit stonger. Others have gone to use longer screws to fill the hollow post in an an effort to prevent bending.

For a color correct solution I would try the dark blue tuning haus 25mm standoff with a 1 mm spacer in conjunction with longer screws. The tuning haus standoffds should be a bit stonger due to their added thickness.

Default Setup suggestions

Hey guys, just bought this kit and built it, love it. Anybody have advice setup-wise for a medium grip carpet track? Found a setup sheet on the Team Associated website for this type of track but nothing is on it or it isn't loading.

When trying to view the setup sheets from your phone, there appears to be no info on them. You have to view these from a desk top to see the data. Aaron Lane gave me that tip!

As a note, 7075 comes in a couple of flavors 7075-T6 is what you want your parts made from. The yield strength is three times what 7075-0.

Looks better Bill...

Nine out of ten times when I'm asked why my pancar is handling oddly, it's binding in the rear pod.

Always keep an eye on that. The rear pod must be free of any obstructions or interference.
