Your buddy living in Indy ran the RC10F6 this passed Friday night and was second in the race with lap times within .1 sec of the winner. The winner was a Trinity driver that has won the USGT and VTA points championships in the last 3 years. This was with a borrowed battery and motor and new tires that only left the package 10 minutes prior to the first practice. I would say that means the Team Associated jump into F1 is quite impressive.
Yes, I could tell that Dan was not a big Associated fan. Turns out that I am. I've run Associated since my 12i. My two 7.1's are great cars. I've never run F1, but I'd be surprised if the new F1 car isn't a great car. And you are right, my buddy in Indy said he was having fun again, finishing second to a guy he said is super good and normally beats him. But in all seriousness, I'd just jump at paying Dan's "buddy" $150 for his hunk of junk F1 car.

You're right, I'm not a huge fan. I wanted to try out the car anyways, but not at that price. One good thing AE has going for it is the fanbase. This car will bring in a lot of newcomers to the F1 sport, my favorite class. Its great to see this class grow with the AE powerhouse finally in the mix. I'll leave it at that.

I already have too many cars, so I won't be buying this one, but I do like the few little things they did different to other F1 on the market. The front servo configuration is intriguing, looking forward to read comments on how it affects the handling.

I love the looks of the new front wing and I'll definitely try one as soon as I can get my hands on one.

And I must agree with Dan on one thing, it's good to see Associated enter the market as it will indeed help to give F1 more exposure.

There was a new Associated F1 on track at ProLevel sat. looked real good for first time out and had box stock setup...... Does anyone think now that Associated has a F1 car, could Losi be working on anything??Losi seems to have been out of the on road game for quite awhile....any opinions?? Rumors....anything??

In my best preschool singing voice: "Myron is a pan car guy!"

It is a fine piece of machinery and you sir are a skilled pilot and sportsman and F1 couldn't have a better spokesman.

Agree, Martin. And if these predictions come true, the price is justified.

The PF15 is a good choice.

I don't think TLR will bother anymore with onroad.

I chose the PF15 because that's what AE showed in all their pics. When I got the kit, they even have a decal template for the front suspension cutouts, and it's marked specifically for the PF15.

Dan I don't understand your cost for less quality. Compared to what? X-RAY? X-ray has some good quality there's no disputing that but to say associated is pricing it high without the quality doesn't make any sense. Associated prices the same as all the other kits. X-ray is higher because of all the import taxes. Every car breaks. And having to hand fit pieces are what make quality. I don't think this car is inferior because of that. This car will compete easily with the rest of them

On another note I race on a medium high grip asphalt track. What is the go to tire? I was looking at the schumacher pre mounts. What other pre mounts are out there? CRC? RIDE?
