I've been running BSR for the bast month and I can say I'm thoroughly impressed with them! I've been running the Team fronts and the Team rears.

I've never tried to run the Double pink/purple in the front. I run DPO in the front and DPP in the rear. The purple ring in the back is where you get the extra steering.

Team BSR wannabe.

Purple is generally 40 shore rating and the pinks are 35. Purple is said to be a tad slower on lap times like .1-.3 maybe, dont know for sure. But they do last alittle longer.

I've ran John's tires "BSR" tires on my 1/8th, my 1/12th and my 1/10th for the last two years. I can't find a better set of tires, and I've just about tried them all. I'm fortunate the www.theworldofhobbies.com has them locally (alwasy in stock), but you could order them via the internet from the same place too.

I agree... we run the Team Touring(black and black/orange) at most tracks. At the Novak were the traction was very high they had a little too much side bite and we went xxpink all around.

Ok. Question about the "team front and rears"

What would they be equivalent too for shore ratings? Harder then XX pinks or softer? I heard from one guy softer shore and one was harder shore.

Is shore really important? How they perform on the track is all that counts . Shore rating is a general guide but 2 different type foams with a similar shore rating can act very different on the track. The best way to determine performance and wear is to try them on the track

We have ran both quite a bit and the Blacks have a smoother feel on the track... similar to a 2 stage tire but they have more side bite than a XXPink. As I posted we run Blacks (Team Touring) mainly at club races and when the bite comes way up (Novak) we find the XXpink works a little better.

The XXpink is a 35 shore, and the Black(team) is a 37 shore. We have found that the blacks will give the feeling of more side bite while forward bite is about even. The blacks are what we run on a club level almost all of the time.
