Kind of want to get a TA-07R. Love the car that much.
I’m still waiting for mine to come in and already thinking of the R. I think the hop ups make it worth it if you can spend the extra cash

If I had waited, I would have just bought the R. I've installed most of the parts that the R comes with.

the low damper stays are not included. I really think that these are must have upgrade for the ta07. My laptimes were much better since I put on those.

Also those carbon front and middle braces are a must. They change the handling off the chassis a lot, a lot better with those on

I really like the wet noodle feel of mine. Carries lots of corner speed compared to what the other guys in my group run. Tires seem to effect the car greatly. I would really like to see if the center CF part makes a difference. The surface I run on is a seal coated parking garage.

Looks sweet!

What did you use to mount the shorty pack in there?

Separate question, I'd like to throw some alloy bulkheads in my 07 when I do the rebuild this winter. Do the MS bulkheads drop right in? Or do I need to look at Exotek?

The eagle racing ones drop in.

Though... I'll ask.. what are you looking for out of them? the plastic tubs are not bad at all... and are essentially crash proof.

shorty does weight a bit less and also, it provides better weight balance , at least I prefer it.

I'm guessing they will add just a little more rigidity to the chassis without being a dramatic change, plus I like the blue bling like everyone else. Lol

As a side note, I'm planning on buying the long carbon fiber brace for the middle of the chassis. I like how flexible the car is, just wanting to try some new stuff. My car is pretty much built according to the manual aside from very minor changes like camber, toe and shock oil. And it really works. I don't compete at a dedicated track, just amongst friends in a parking lot, and they keep telling me I ruined our 13.5 class touring cars with this car.

Do you run it with a spool?.

Nope. Kit gear diff. Car is seriously quick, at least I think it is.

A spool or 1000000 CST diff oil, will be a lot quicker.

Wow, that sounds awfully thick. I'll have to see what that converts to in Associated diff oils since that's what the local Store carries. I'll give it a shot though. Or maybe the spool. Then I can keep the front gear diff aside for whatever reason.

So being the R is available would the pro owners have gotten the R instead of throwing hop ups at the pro?

I just priced a few parts for the ta07 and really considering selling the pro to get the R.

For me, that decision would rest completely on how much you can get for your PRO. Tamiya lists the R for 644$US. That's pricey. OR.. on the other side, Tamiya USA is having a huge sale on TRF419s.
