Hi Tom,so now in your opinion which one from tamiya is more competitive?07ms or 419xr?One thing is for sure that they are all good looking beauties including evo7,especially built up with quality by you. Keep us updated with your test drive, thank you!

Mine is running smooth. I used the 0.1mm shim at the main pulley but I did not use the 0.1/0.2mm shim at the counter pulley as stated in the manual, because the counter pulley did not run smoothly with shim. I think you have the same issue. It's your counter pulley, not main pulley.
Hint: You have to check the direction of putting the counter pulley onto the axle. The flanged bearing has to be outside to the center bridge!

I did not read the manualvery well...I have indeed installed the pulley in the wrong direction, the flanged side was on the inside, also I have did the same as you and removed the shim at the pulley,.
Thank you very much Tom! You have been a big help!
It is a great car to build, its indeed An 1 belt TRF.

I noticed on the MS they have changed the colour of the upper arm mounts and the damper spring perches from black to blue. I know some prefer an all blue car but the black and blue contrast was also nice IMO.

I have looked for damper caps for these ultra short shocks in blue, does anyone know a part number for it?
I don't like the blue/black gold combination.
I looked everywhere for Caps that wil fit perfectly but.

That TA07MS is a sweet looking unit. What surface do you plan to run on. I race pretty much exclusively carpet and mostly black CRC. Thinking of getting one of these to try, but wondering how well it will work on a high traction track.

Gearing
Can a TA-07 be geared to a final drive ratio of 3.00? Thinking of running this in a locked can 21.5 class, but need to get to a 3.0 to be up to speed at the local track.
I have a nice TB-04, but can't gear it below 3.33 which will not be competitive in the class.
Thanks.

I found them within my rc mess, haha
Grip condition at our track really depends on the Weather.
