FDR all depends on your track, A track like Tamiya USA suggested FDR is 3.6.

Default Front vs mid vs rear motor position

Hiya folks,

I have my car setup in the front motor position and I realized that I do not have a lot of mid corner to out of corner steering. The car is just as fast as other ta07 on the straights.

As I'm using a short pack (I only have shorties cos I use them in buggies), I use the front motor position to provide better balancing of the car.
The car is pretty stock, except I use 1b hanger in the rear rear position, diff as 3k, shock oil is stick 500cps and springs are what came in the ta07r kit.

How do I get more mid to out corner steering?

Thank you!

So which arms is harder? The arms for the TA07 #54740 or the arms for the TRF419 #54691?

Thanks for this. Just looking at diff oil now, is there a big difference in 1000 increments? I can buy 3k, 4k and 5k which seems to be the right range, wondering if the 4k is worth bothering with or will it not make enough of a difference?
Do you clean the diff out and refill or just buy more diffs since they aren't that expensive, and then you can try them back to back?

I buy the diffs . yes i did notice a change in 1000 to 4000 . 1 to 2 was very small but 1 to 3 was very noticeable.

If I want to add steering/more steering to my setup, what kind of changes can I do?

There are generally some factors you can change/combine for more steering:

- damper oil: go harder (400>425>450)
- front toe: not more than 1°
- rear toe: go less - if you have 3°, try 2.5° etc.
- roll center front/rear: go down (less shims on bulkhead side)
- shorter turnbuckles (use another hole on bulkhead if possible / TA07 has no option for that)
- more droop
- less caster angle front: instead of 6° c blocks go for 4° or 2°

Damper oil. Is that all four? Or front only?
Front toe is at 1°
Rear toe is stock setting.
Roll center. I'll experiment with that.
Shorter turnbuckles. Yeah can't do much about that.
More droop. Front or rear?
Caster. Its at 4°. Stock setting.

Damper oil: rear little harder than front
More Droop: rear
Roll center front: lower - more on power steering

I forgot to mention: You can also try a little harder diff oil rear for more turning. And front a harder swaybar.

Hiya folks,

the kit stock c-hub is 4 degrees. Will I get more steering with the 2 degree c-hubs?
I used the Porsche Carrera gt bodyshell, will using some other shell help? I also have a Alfa Romeo 155 shell.
