Even 199$ is still kind of expensive when you could get a GhostEvo for that price. I am always amazed at the prices Tamiya manages to pull off. And people keep coming back for more, apparently. Ok, rant over...

I need to save whatever I can buying the car so I can put the money towards buying hop ups that didn't come with the car lol , but seriously they have me right where they want me . I can't wait. Anybody hear about a preorder yet?

People are willing to spend the money on these tamiya tubs because they offer a excellent free racing series with great prizes for these cars and they offer solid parts support in America.

You mean there is no entry fee for Tamiya races? In that case I can definitely see why one would pay a bit more for the gear. And yes parts support is also relevant, you are right.

In America yes. I think there is also something similar in Europe. Tamiya Challenge or something.

Yeah but there are fees to run the races and every item you buy must be bought on the swiss market and confirmed by the importer....

In Germany the distributor even numbers (engraves) the motor mount of the car, apparently:

Why is it Asia gets the kits way before USA or all of NorthAmerica for that matter. I think pricing will always be an issue but at least have them come out at the same time! Either way I'm going to get a kit, I just rather it be sooner than later!
Just my 2$
