Good tip! I used a shim as well, gets rid of that "dead spot" feel in the suspension.

SHOCK BUILDING TIP:
For those building shocks for this car - I found adding a .2mm shim under the piston tightened the piston onto the shaft which gives a smoother feel that is more responsive. I've done this on pretty much every kit I've built.

Lock in your steering screws by installing set screws from the top of the steering assembly. By tightening them against the screws that hold the assembly on the chassis plate - the screws are less likely to loosen out... add a drop of threadlock for a double lock.

Front spool guards are a pain to install onto the pulley. Using a set of scissors at a 45 degree angle toward the inner surface, I shave the inner ring so that the guard is easier to install. Still fits snug - just easier to lock onto the pulley.

Seal your carbon chassis with less mess.

I use the loctite gel vs. CA to seal my chassis. Easier to apply and you can wipe the residue off the top and bottom of the plate as the gel takes a little long to cure. Wearing a rubber glove, apply a little to my finger and spread onto the edge of a sanded chassis plate or shock tower (or any other carbon part). Has less effect on the structure of the part as compared to CA - leaves a nice clean finish when done.

A-main is the US distributor. If you really want to trick it out, 2mmdesigns on facebook has some VERY cool headlight decal kits for it. Certainly worth a look!

Had a couple great nights of testing with the car - getting it dialed in very well on the CRC Black Carpet - racing Touring Car Mod. First race meeting this coming weekend with it and I would like to try the aluminum chassis plate before hand. Does anyone know where I can find one - everywhere I have looked is out of stock.

I do have the Rigid 2mm Carbon on the car now - it is working well ... however, has a little edginess that I have had some success eliminating once the move to an aluminum chassis was installed.

The aluminum chassis has been discontinued due to supply issues. There may be some floating around, but I think most places have sold out of them. The 2.0 chassis was to be the replacement for the alloy.

I have seen a few setup sheet where the Xray springs were used. I tried it and they are too short to get the proper ride height on my car. Is there something special that needs to be done in order to make it work on Schumacher's shocks?

I think you have to use different bottom shock collars , for outdoors either schumacher whites or blues all the way around worked a lot better.

You can just run the mi5evo shocks altogether if you want to run the X-ray shocks. I just run the shock end from the mi5evo because it a little tighter fit and won't pop off easily. However i tried the X-ray and went back to the yokomo.
