kobiwan, there are a few setups that will work on black carpet. I would recommend getting the 2mm stiff weave chassis, the ultra low short shocks/towers and the low roll center blocks. These parts will wake the car up and give it the steering you will need. I like to start with Elliot Harper's setup from DHI - Odense...found on www.petitrc,com

Thank you. I see some people running the aluminum chassis. Who sells those?

Kobiwan, I've run both on high bite black CRC carpet and had the most success with the graphite chassis. The alloy chassis will help keep the car from traction rolling but will take away a lot of steering and makes the car heavy. The graphite keeps the car lite and will allow for more steering....something about its flex characteristics...

Default Weights for Mi6evo?

Anybody come across nice brass or lead weights for the Mi6 Evo that use the empty screw holes in the frame ?
running VTA and wanting to use something better looking than the standard stick ons.
thanks.

Cant help with the weights, but recently saw on Facebook that Schumacher made a post about their prototype chassis is being run in the BRCA Touring Car Nationals. Results werevery good in Mod and 17.5 Blinky.

The only thing I can see in the photo is what appears to be a dynamic rear toe setup.

I really wonder if this is just an update to the Mi6 or a new design all together. I'm down for the cause either way but would be nice to see a new design. As long as it's not an XRAY, YOKOMO copy...good cars but I already have those.

Schumacher always seem to go their own way. They really dont seem to follow the "let's do what everyone else does."
I've owned a bunch of them over the years on and off road cars. They are always different then everyone else.

Has anyone had issues building the ultra short shocks? I have built them as per instructions and at first they feel great but after they have been on the car over night there is air in them. There is no leaks and all four shocks make that all to familiar squeak when compressed, the standard shocks never had any issues.

No9, I've had a problem in the past were I thought I had air in my shock but turned out that the piston was rubbing against the shock body. Take the shock off the car, remove the spring and make sure it's actually air in the shock. Question, is did you drill your shock cap so that the air can vent? Is the shock cap tight on the shock body?

The shock caps are sealed and are as tight as possible so i am at a loss. Thinking of adding another shim under the shaft o-ring and possibly drilling the side of the caps so they bleed like Xray shocks.
