Default Hi, er Aluminium Trays :)

Thanks. Sorry I made a complete hash of my introduction, typical me. Sorry about that.

Yes Aluminium trays, they seem to get mentioned a bit and I may be completely wrong, but was wondering if this is a kind of hard wearing "Undertray" that would sit under the Carbon Fibre one supplied in the Mi6 Evo box? I believe my chosen class of 21.5 doesnt approve, but would be great to have some protection to learn on, it's a completely different world to me! I used to race a 1/10 schumacher buggies.

I loved my "Boss Cat" that had a neat all enclosed poly carbonate buggy shell and undertray. I then mounted a Touring Shell over that to road race! Quite a lot of weight, I was able to run brushed modified motors so I got pretty good speeds. Sorry lengthy post!

So yeah, Aluminium undertrays a thing?

Undertrays? I think what you're calling an undertray we're just calling the chassis.
For the Mi6Evo, no. Alum chassis aren't available any more. There is a stiff 2.0mm carbon chassis that is used to the same effect as the aluminium chassis normally would i.e. be torsionally stiffer

Is that a Bezerk chassis? Looks like one he did for me on the MI6 (non evo).

Default 25.5 VTA and Mi6 evo

Anyone here using their evo for VTA racing on asphalt ?
If so whats your set up springs and oil , etc ?
searching for those elusive last tenths to shave off.
thanks.

whats the parts number or numbers for a tuning spring set for the ultra short shock set ?
all i can find are the 3.0 springs that come with it.

I have used the Yokomo Racing Performer brand of short springs without issue on the new short shocks. Also the Xray and SMJ short springs work without issues for tuning. I don't have part numbers off hand but they are easily searchable.. I got my Yokomo springs through gripworksrc.com (in Canada) but I know Amain in the US carries them too.

Schumacher whites are perfect for asphalt (14lbs) . I always ran 4hole pistons and 37.5 wt oil on my evo outdoors.

So is there anything in the works for Schumacher and their onroad program? Seems like it's been forever since they last put out anything new. I like my Mi6evo but it just doesn't keep up with the A800 or T4 2019...

Marcos - rumor has it that there may be a mid-motor Mi5evo (on an Avid chassis) showing up at Minnreg as a purpose built VTA oval car for the oval racing on Saturday, June 1. If the car works well enough once the road course is set-up late Saturday night for the State Race on Sunday, rumor also has it that it may run again for that event as well.

Well....that's the rumor anyhow

Is there a good Black carpet set up for this car? If so, how competitive is it compared to the Awesomatix, Xray etc.
