Not even close. Nitro is a piece of cake compared to the amount of work (and money) that goes into electric racing these days. Racing both I can tell you that I am seriously looking at going back to Nitro with this news, as well as the Lipo and brushless carry on, I really can't be bothered with electric racing at the moment!!

Default Capacity/Voltage etc

Just about every battery manufacturer.....prints what they call "nominal voltage specs and voltage"......this is what they lists as their base numbers.Examples....like Danny said a current 3800 cell could easily be labelled a 4000...since most of the mah ratings are this or higher on the 3800's. The same will probably be the case with the 4200's....who knows how much better they could/might be?

Basically battery manufacturers have become like all other manufacturers. They want new products to "excel business" and want to "remain on the leading edge" which basically is what Intellect has done.....it is obvious they do not want to lose this position.....

Thumbs up I say GOOD FOR THEM!

If you guys want producers to stop inventing new technology and improving our industry then forget it. It will not be heard.
Ernie is right! They are going to provide products that are in demand over their competition. That is how it works.

If we the users want to have fun with it and actually use it, we need to tell the rules people to allow us to run longer and faster.
Longer times and bigger tracks!

The electric guys had to answer the rising poularity of Nitro. This is how you do it. In the case of batteries, RC is as hard as it comes on equipment. What better way to test cutting edge technology.

Get the freaking politics out of it and extend the times please.

AMP draw concerns appear to be getting better....we've been running them with no issue and I know a bunch of boat racers that are truely enjoying the benefits of Lipoly technology....(ie: Lite weight + higher milliamps)
