I believe this cell is intended for the Asian market where they race 8 minute mod sedan. In the other markets the IB3800 has enough capacity for all the classes. December 31st is the submittal date for EFRA and BRCA so for new cells to be approved April 1st they need to be submitted in December so IB has decided to launch the 4200 for that market as well.

guys were dumping 3800's at the Oval Masters in both 4 and 6 cell mod.

but they will find a way to dump 5000mah packs. at that point i guess 5 singles would be needed, lol

unfortunatly once some one allows 4200 in say stock oval they will feel compeled to buy because of the increased voltage trap a 3800 at 240 then a 4200 at 240 with a 35 amp discharge or 30 what ever and the 4200 will have more thats been around for 20 years voltage means power!

My questions to this: are they as durable as the latest batch of 3800's or are the as bad as the first batch of 3800's ?

Do I buy them right away or wait until they get better? DANNY???

Thanks.

I don't have the answers to your questions because we just got the samples in on Monday. We have a pack out for testing already and we will see how it does in the next week or so. Based from what we have seen with the test cells it seems pretty much like the IB3800 with 30 extra seconds or so.
