Default New personal lapcounting system...

For anyone interested in a personal lap counting system, there is a new product available. It's called the Lapdragon, and it is designed to be an affordable way to accurately test racing setups, or hold races. A user's manual is available from the home page: http://www.lapdragon.com

best regards,
Brian

The price is $80. This includes:

1 transmitter beacon
1 lap counting unit
Manual
Power connector/inline switch

There is currently a couple of these listed on ebay(search for 'lapdragon') with a buy it now price of $60(Christmas special!)

The webiste has a FAQ, as well as more detailed pricing info.

There is no way to program a maximum lap time, only a max lap target. I suppose you could use a cheap kitchen timer to end the race, and then see how many laps you did.
