it sucks.. i got one when they first cam out and ran it in my 12th scale with a receiver pack. my car was slow all day, and my esc kept losing its center point. After the mains i put my old receiver back in and my best lap was 4 tenths faster than my best with the spektrum.

ELI runs spektrum and is consisitantly fast with it. If they felt like sending me one,,, id run it all day long.

To say it sucks is a bit harsh... although I have never controlled a car with it.. but it is new technology to us and im sure it will be great once it is ironed out. (i thought it was)

I know this was a problem with the first batch of M8 ones, but it has since been fixed. I drove a friends car who had it and there was def a problem. But now he uses his after the update and it's all good.

I have run mine in a Futaba for almost a year now and love it. Would never go back, never had any problems. I'm sure all the ones out there now have been updated or are good to go. I saw alot of people on DSM and never heard anything this weekend about problems.

Only problem that I am aware of is that with certain combinations of ESC Servo and Spektrum. What happens is the ESC doesnt put out enough juice through the BEC and with the draw of the digital servo and receiver the unit will shut off as a failsafe. I believe they made a cap for this though. I have a M11 and spektrum on the way so I have no first hand experience but a buddy of mine has had this happen to him.

I know when I switched to a KO VFS-1 and talked to Robert from KO and mentioned that I was going to use a Spektrum module, he did reccomend increasing the BEC Output via the handheld programmer. Don't forget, not only did Spektrum win and TQ at the Novak Race, but Frank Calandra Jr. also won 1/12th scale stock at the IIC, Eli Ezrow TQ-ed and won both masters classes at Cleveland with it, along with other A-Main finishes around the country.

Seasonal Carpet Kooks? That's funny. Hey, you're entitled to your opinion, but I think if you mention those names at a major race you'll hear a lot of respect for those guys and what they've accomplished in the hobby and for being some of the nicest and most helpful people in the pits. Don't forget Frank's a multi-time IFMAR worlds finalist, along with owning CRC as well.

Funny stuff --

I've heard of West Coast Bias in everything from Politics to football and baseball. Now its crept in to RC racing. And hearing someone from California call anyother region a Kook is priceless. Very funny...
