I noticed that most of the pics show drivers using 'normal' radio systems and not the Spektrum, any ideas why? (ie. personal preference, was there issues??, etc, etc.)

Great time, good racing, lots of fun as always, a fantastic show from the Scotty and the Gang. Trackside RULES!

Thanks to everyone that came out and made this such a huge event, Doug Hay, Brandon Rhode, Scotty, Kenny, and all the racers, we had a great time as always.

From the race resturant, to the race hotel, to the racing itself, we had a great time on all fronts.

But still, need to work on that weather.... I'm still cold....

A little over 25% of all racers used Spektrum systems, either the DX3 or a Module-Based radio. Jim Piersol used a Spektrum module in his Z-1 to TQ 19T, and Nick Stampfel used a Spektrum Module in his R-1 to finish 3rd in 19T, and Ed Forer and Matt Clinton both finished in the 19T as well. David Weir qualified and finished 2nd in Stock rubber with Spektrum, and I think Steve Rossi finished 3rd in Brushless with Spektrum too. Kevin Bottoms used Spektrum in Mini and TQed and won. I think out of the mains, each A main had at least 1 Spektrum user, with a couple having at least 1/2 the main made up of Spektrum users.

I think one reason why is because for example if a driver is sponsored by lets say airtronics then it wouldnt be right for that driver to use equipment from another manufacturer in an airtronics radio unless of course there is a agreement between the two companies. But a big reason companies sponsor drivers is to promote a product and for a company like airtronics to let a driver who they sponsor use a spectrum system instead of thier complete airtronics system wouldnt be a good way to sell thier products.

well could be some of the last batch of spetkums turned off due to static if you rolled the car over. I know of 2 people at the race that had said that and one at our local track.

weird we have websence at work and this guy blocks everything. I have no problem getting to my site from work. ask to have it put on the whitelist. I had a bunch of game and linux and crap in my meta tags so I changed that. if he gives you what it's blocking I'll take it out. I had one of my friends do that on his site so I could get to it from work and I have to use a back door to trinity tech talk because websence blocks me from going straight in.

im sure that like mentioned above, the paid drivers for Airtronics, Ko, Futaba, etc. arent gonna be running it... its not made by them.

for anyone to come on here saying it sucks because some werent running it makes no sense at all. everyone i know and talked to that uses it says it works perfectly, as does mine.

i try not to worry about who does and doesnt run it...

good, i dont know were you race but @ my LHS we have two tracks off/onroad that shit glitches off the track..believe it or not it glitches normal bands like 27 or 75...the best thing i like about the spectrum is the LOCK OUT mode when your cars drives itself right out the building ...airtronics on funnies works the best...
