TC racing is AWESOME! A page and a half of "who hacked who" arguments after Scotty worked so hard to put on a killer show for you guys is kinda pointless. It doesn't matter who hacked who, get over it guys. Sobottka's got the best attitude I've seen about a bad weekend, BAD LUCK. It happens to everybody that races anything, some weekends just SUCK from a racing perspective, did it really ruin anybody's weekend? Nahhhhh, I think all of you had a good time and can't wait 'till next year. Of course next year I hope to be there slappin' fenders with the rest of you, so I'm sure I'll get my fair share of complaints too.

All I can say is that I wish I was there so I could've seen some of the spectacular "racing incidents" that occured.

I've seen Doug's, but my work computer won't let me go to RC50.com (blocked because it's considered a "game" site). Just wondering if there were any others.

no problem 'bottka! As an "occasional race official" I sometimes get a bit burnt by folks who complain about races the day or two after they're over. It's probably just me.

Congradulations on another great race! this race is truly balooning up to becoming one of the greatest races in the world. People from all over the planet were watching this race. I think we should take this race international cause it has the potenial. we had a guy from Finland win the 19 turn class, a young man from Canada race in the A main in 19 turn and a man from Venzeula watch the race. Very Exciting! What started out as a Midwestern race in 1997 has now grown to be the biggest touring car race in America, possibly the world. I believe in just two weeks we reached the Maximum limit for racers for this year. Excellent job Scotty on another great race!

BK was not there.

Great quote in your sig from The Body BTW

Cypress, no-one was blaming Scotty or the crew for how people were driving. He wasn't holding the radios or driving the cars. The comments were made on how it seemed like some of the driver's ediquite was missing is all. It just seemed like there wasn't as much give and take, and it wasn't just "this one race" where that has happened. It was more of a comment on some drivers is all.

Steven- don't worry buddy, some of us have bad weekends of racing all year long!!! However, even a bad weekend of racing is better than a good weekend of work!

Tell your dad hi and I guess I'll be seeing you guys in 4 weeks...

lol, someone FINALLY caught on. Nice to see someone still remembers Jesse!
Any idea why BK didnt show this year?
I havent raced competively in years now, but I've done my fair share of oval and offroad racing....when racing was FUN. Two reason I got out of it...1) too expensive! the cost of this hobby has gotten so out of control, that's why a lot of tracks are scratching their heads wondering if it's even worth having a carpet (oval or road course) track. Newcomers cant justify shelling out $1000-$1500 for an on-road set up when they can have a competitive off-road car or truck for half the price.
Next, I got out of racing because it was no longer fun. People have lost sight that this is a HOBBY and hobbies are supposed to be fun! A lot of guys take r/c racing wayyyyy to serious! Think about it. Youre spending hundreds or thousands of dollars on a toy car that's made from recycled 2-liter bottles, spending countless hours wrenching on the car to get the "perfect" set-up, pulling your hair out in frustration because some over anxious jag just put you into the wall, all for the chance to get your hands on a $5 trophy and some bragging rights.
Relax guys. It's supposed to be fun. I've known scotty a long time, from the "old" Trackside days. You all love and respect him for what he's done for r/c racing......ask him what's important.

That's the thing some see it as a hobby and others see it as a sport. Remember there are guys that do this for a living and at that point you have to over look the hobby aspect. After all with racing r/c cars is not much different then racing full size cars. When you compare the 2 size is the main difference as it still takes alot of time, effort, money, and ability to be at the top of your game. But you also have to keep in mind that each person looks at everything differently. I know some guys that I race with, at the local club level, that take this very seriously and are always in the lowest main but guess what, they still have a blast whent he day is over. Racing like this is a true competition and some see these as toys and others see these as true high performance racing machines. But when it is all said and done I bet everyone in the building had a blast.

I know when I went to this race it was a blast standing on the drivers stand with Barry Baker on my right, Mike Blackstock and Chris Doseck on my left and me shaking....now that was fun.
