Checkpoint 19turn spec mod
#228

I run my Money first time today on asphalt track, using gear ratio 6.1 (about 32mm rollout). The motor is crazy high temp, after 8mins runs I got 80'c on motor can (50~60 on comm as I have fan and airflow deflector to cool down comm) and it still running with no sight of fade
what a crazy stuff...
But I do find with 6.1 ratio the bottom is kind soft. But after middle it rocks. I gonna try 6.3~6.5 tomorrow in middle of race (lol.. 6cells Mod with 8mins.. I don't believe anyone with 8T can finish it without running out of juice.

the k19 is also a good motor i gear it at 7.0 final and it makes tones of power with the epic 4499 brushes

If you mean how long the screws are, not sure but I would guess something like 8mm.

I want to get some more but much longer to mount a fan.

We have a Checkpoint 19T, fitted with Infinity brushes, that we run in touring cars on rubber tyres in the UK.
Today Ian TQd and won both A finals in the UK TORC series using the same motor all day without skimming or brushing at all. This same motor has TQd and won both finals at TWO previous TORC events at different tracks using the same brushes. All the motor gets is a skim after the event. Gearing is 5.35 or 5.19 depending on track.
Makes Infinity brushes look pretty good value to me.
As a comparison, we found last year that Atlas/C2/Corally motors needed to be skimmed and brushed (767)every race in the same conditions.

We bought two 19T v2s to try.
Maybe we were too chicken with the gearing but we could never get them to go fast enough. If we geared high to get top speed then there was no pull off the corners.
I know lots of people praise the V2 but in 19T they are not beating us!
