The T2 has reduced the unsprung weight of the suspension, lowered the overall CG of the car and made the car easier to work on and maintain....

That being said...yes...you will still be competitive with the FK05. TheFK05 is a fantastic handling, durable car with a wealth of setup knowledge available online here, other forums(like on www.teamxray.com ) and at tracks around the country...

Tough luck for X-Ray at the Novak race...I think that there was one stock class that they did not win

Any servo will fit, just the amount of overhang increases with some servos.

Ran great today, didnt break anything till the main when I broke a shock body....

Going side by side round a sweeper, got nudged, BANG....

The Fk05 battery strap fits fine, just need to turn it round, ran mine today.

oh, and as for the chassis being TWEAK FREE!!! Yeah, right...out of the 4 T2s that ran today, all tweaked with minor hits... one visibly.

Might explain why they were running different top decks at novak.

Again...the top deck shown fastened in the same manner, with the same number and type of screws...it had wings on it like a wide deck but there were no standoffs...

OK, your right, a picture tells all, I think I will just stop bothering with this forum and let you all discover it all yourselves.

Why is a tweak free car tweaking? Is XRay gonna refund everyone if the find it not true. Im getting more then a little concerned now. If the car is tweaking with standoffs how bad will it be without in Med/Soft setting?

No such thing as a "tweak free car" I would perfered a solid chassis (no flexy cut out) and I run out doors. Still you've got to give it up to XRAY the car goes out and finishes 1,2,3 the first time out on carpet. What's gonna happen at the Snowbirds with another month of practice on the T2?

I hope I have mine by the end of the week.

don't get me wrong, this car is awesome and there is no way i would change it....but those top decks didnt magically appear at novak, they had to think they would need them, and thus make them.

But claiming it as tweak free, when its clearly not, is a little annoying.

How bad is the tweak??Are you sure that is the problem.Looking at the design of the car,I would say it would resist tweak by allowing for more give with the cuts in both the chassis and top deck.
Had to be a really hard hit.

you could look down the chassis, when the car was upside down, and see the chassis was twisted. Bad enough?

was a glancing blow on a board, not a head on hit.

hi, this is my first time on a x-ray thread. i have never owned or driven one but i wanted to ask a question to you x-ray guys. who has driven the fk05 and the t2 back to back? was the car really that much better to drive or was all the upgrades mainly just to make the car easier to work on? i know the fk05 is a great car and with the t2 now out i was thinking of maybe picking up a 05 to give it a try. or would it be a lost cause to get a car that is now out of date.

car is much better, as with any new car there are new things to discover. Its tha same with any new car.

It is only when it is run A LOT, by a LOT of people, do you find the weak points.

I may seem as though I am unhappy, I am not, I am real happy, I qualified 2nd, and was doing ok till I broke.

I am just reporting what I am finding, as many seem interested.

I am sure as others come to run it, they will find similar or different issues.

I know lol I was J/K sounds like it must be working out pretty good....do your lap times seem to be better than with your 05, or is it just a more neutral car to drive ?
