Does it p*ss you guys off that every year when x ray brings out a new car the value of your present one drops in half. I just can't see the loyalty to a company that only has a one year loyalty to it's own product.

New cars = more money. More money = more drivers they can sponsor/support. As long as people are wanting newer, easier to work on and better stuff it will always sell.

Default TC4?

I've not been happy with my TC4. I'm going to give Xray a shot. I'd rather be loyal to the company that is producing the highest quality products. Seems like you'd be better off buying a (cheap) '05 model rather than continuing on with the TC4.

The one that I raced for 3 years and is still somewhat competitive, I race it in stock.

Not to be confused with the loyalty to a company then sits back and forgets to develop their winning platform while the world passes them by. Then they (ASSociated) throw out a subpar car (Team TC4) in a worthless attempt to satisfy their loyal minions. And then by the time the Factory TC4 comes out, they've already admitted that their previous release was junk. And now they are still playing catch up. Believe me, I'm not trying to buy a new car every year either, but in this competitive hobby, you either lead or follow. And I don't see many people anxiously awaiting the next "following" car.

This is a racing car. The purpose is to build a faster car than last time. And a faster car than the opposition. What do you expect?

Hey, guys. I don't want to rattle any cages this early in the new year, but you all need to know. While in the hobby shop at the track last night, I was told that they haven't been able to get the normal supply of parts for the '05 and they weren't sure, if Xray was still going to produce the '05 and it's spare / optional parts. I thought we, here on r/c tech, were told different. Am I wrong? Normally, I would've dismissed that mere speculation but this was coming from someone working in a hobby shop / racetrack, that, has specialized in Xray / Hudy products since it's (the hobby shop) inception. Do we really know what's going on? I don't know about you, but I'm concerned. I was in the mist of buying the hard suspension arms (front and rear) and the black screw pack when I was told this. I was really tempted to put them back on the counter and walk away. That's thirty - some odd dollars I could save. If, I need to stop putting money into the '05 and unload the thing, I need to know now.
