Here's a sketchy list of details as seen by those with inside info:
- same basic layout but with new chassis with changed weight distribution
- lowered upper deck and new bulkheads for easy access to drivetrain
- new adjustable upper deck
- completely new front & rear suspension
- wheels fastened with nuts instead of screws probably indicating smaller wheel bearings
- no information on this but one would assume new dampers

new lowered upper deck?!
hmmm, the progression from FK04 to FK05 in chassis layout seemed similar to TRF414M to TRF415MS .... and the TRF415MS to TRF415MSX also featured a lowered upper deck.... i think i know what the T2 is going to look like

None of us were looking for a prototype X-Ray car??
Wow, X-Ray does a good job of keeping things under wraps till the minute they want to release it!

Apparently the car was dialed when they ran it in one of the early practices or qualifiers...but they saw the bumps and damage being done to cars and didn't want to risk breaking and have a marshall discover the car until an announcement was ready...
Unlike the Kyosho car, which everyone knew was a prototype.....the Xray was running in stealth mode....although, if people were paying attention...they may have wondered why one of the Xray driver's cars had wheelnuts instead of screws

Here we go, again... Oh well, at least, I'll get about 10 races on my '05 before the new car gets released. And to think, I was in on the first batch of the '05s! Sheeesshhh! I had the '04 for about 3 months and raced it THREE times before the '05 was released. Maybe, i'll keep the car - this time around.
