Think about it how many different designs could there be?

2 belt
1 belt
shaft
there could evern be a shaft/belt hybrid wouldn't that be interesting?

and then theres the battery on right or left or saddle pack.

My point is no one company is responsible for that one specific design.

most cars are starting to look alike, but it'll still be the details that make the car different... the idea of one chassis/top deck and adjusting the car with flex spots is great and seems to be new, atleast covering the last few years... maybe it was because i havent followed the release of other cars that all look similar that i didnt see the uproar that the new T2 is causing... either way, be happy that a new platform is coming with more adjustability and ease of working is on its way for the loyal x-ray owners, and to the others, ease up, in the end, for the majority, it is still a hobby... and expensive hobby, but still one... for everyone that says its just a copy of this car or that car, we'll see on the track, if it performs no better than the cars it copied, then yeah, its a copy, otherwise, maybe, just maybe the Hudy boys have done some work on the little details that make a car corner faster and accelerate harder all while making it easier to work on......

ok mdoc, you obviously have some sort of mental defect, so I will say this slowly. We are not talking about the fact that the car has belts, four wheels, and suspension arms, we are talking about the specific details, such as belt layout and bulkhead design which has not been out since the mid 80's. These are things we've only seen in the past 8 months ON OTHER CARS!

damn it, looks like xray didn't include the strap for batts again!

also, looks like the old springs will work according tot he flash pres

Regardless of all the "who copied this and that", this is a GREAT LOOKING PLATFORM and if I wasn't SOOO involved (monetarily) with my Yokes, the T2 would definitely be on my list

With the body on, all these cars look the same. WWWAAAAAAAHHHHHH....... It's the subtle differences that make these cars do what they do. I doubt that many ppl could tell the difference between a Delara(sp) and a Panoz in the IRL or a Nextel Cup short track car from a road course car.

It seems people are looking for the next revolutionary design but I doubt there will be one. Things generally evolve into the simplest, most efficient machine possible for a certain task and our touring cars are no different. Look at 1/12th scale for an example.

Comparing one car to another based on the superficialities of the design is pointless. Many cars have similar layouts and features. The differences that aren't apparent are whats important, the supension geometry, the parts quality etc. For me thats what has setup X-ray from the rest and which is why I will continue to purchase their products. The T2 may look like alot of other cars car, as does the fk05, but the engineering which has gone into designing the suspension is superlative on the 05 and I suspect it is even more refined on the T2. The quality and durability of the current car is phenomenal as well, another charateristic which I'm sure will be retained.
