Are you running on carpet with foams or rubber tire.

Hi Guys,

Another nitro--->electric convert here. I started reading the forum from the start but after 40 pages, my head started hurting lol.

I got a T2 which I plan to start off in stock for a while.

Now, some more silly newbie questions.

The T2 comes with a 87t, 48 Pitch spur right?

I plan to get an 86t and 88t spur also.

Also, from what some of the local guys have told me, the pinions I will need will be anywhere between 23t-28t

Now my questions:

1./ What brand pinions do most use with the T2, and will they fit ok with the spur range I mentioned?

2./ Where can I buy this brand of pinions online?

Thanks

What size are your tires?? (roll out?)

What Epic stock are you running? (P2K,P2K2,Monster,CO27,BRCA,ect)

With 56mm tires and a CO27 motor, I ran a 3.61 ratio. This worked great!

You must factor in the size of your tires! (roll out)

Hope this helps

Rod

I sat the car on a set-up board last night and saw a severe twist from left to right across the chassis front to back, about .75mm difference. None of the bulk-heads appear to be bent.

After further inspection (ie. frustration) I noticed that the chassis is delaminating right in front of where the motor sits on the left edge of the chassis. The chassis was sanded and sealed properly none-the-less, still delaminating.

Moral of this story...Carpet = BMI Chassis.
Hope this helps anyone that was on the fence thinking about an after market chassis for carpet.

I bought a BMI chassis and it's the best thing I ever did for that car. I was ready to throw it in the creek with the stock chassis.

Thanks BMI
