Wow, so I need to get like a 30 Pinion?!

How do you figure out the gearing ratio agian? I looked on the Xray chart, but that ones off the charts. Right now Im at 5.75.

Hi Guys,

Just want to post a quick note that majority of the Xray T2 hop-ups are in stock now:

Xray T2 spare and hop-up parts

New hop-ups such as sway bars, aluminum uprights, steering knuckles, along with most of the replacement parts

1)tire size x 3.1416

2)spur divided by pinion x 1.70(car ratio)

3)divide 1) by 2)

ex:looking for rollout 0f 29 and tire size is 57.5

1)57.5 x 3.1416 = 180.642

2)120 / 33 = 3.6363 x 1.70= 6.1818 (33 tooth pinion)

3)180.642 / 6.1818 = 29.2215(rollout)

as for the rollout, normally the fast guys at the track will tell you what it is because i don't have that process down yet.

you have to try several pinions before you get the right rollout but it's worth it, you don't kill your motor

Hey guys, well I took first place tonight! w00t.

Anyways, one problem did come up. The qualifer right before the main, I finished in first, but as soon as I passed the finish line I got hit by someone coming and my car stoped going. I took a look at the Motor O-Ring that holds the endbell stuff (bearing, and all that) and it was half-way out, thus causing my motor to stop. I took a small screw driver and poped it back into place. I took the A main in first with it, then I looked at it after the race and it started to come out just a little bit agian.

Anyone else have this problem with this motor? (Element 19T V2). I asked up front if they sell just the O-Ring, because I take it it's too weak and streched out now, but they don't sell them without buying the entire Endbell kit, which is more than the motor itself...

Does anyone know where I could find one?

-Mike

I have a quick setup question,

My car feels really good through the corner but I notice other cars are able to turn in quicker then I am. While im racing im watching, the only place im getting catched is going into the turn.

with this info I think I might be pushing alittle or maybe i need more on power steering

current setup is 0 eccentric on f/f and f/r with +75 r/f and r/r

im thinking going 0 f/f -75f/r and 0 r/f -75 r/r

any ideas suggestions comments ? tires are 40 shore front 37shore backs, pepto springs up front whites in back , car feels good just trying to pick up that extra .1/.2

also I just installed the CRC top deck , that sum buck is STIFF, hopefully i will be dialed for the Texas State Champs next week

Im confused on your post. Are you Pulling or Pushing? Your Corally is pulling, and your Xray is pushing?

I had help with my setup, but now I have it PERFECT. Dialed, for carpet/foams.

Im using the stock 4* Caster Blocks, and 1* Toe for Rear. Everything that came with the kit Im using. I did make the car 3mm wide, instend of the 1.5 stock, with the added .75 in rear to give me a final Toe in of 2*.

I will post my setup sheet, I was pushing before I got this car setup right, now its great.

Try .5 degree to 1 degree front toe out to increase your turn in. 6 degree caster blocks or adding some pro-dive will give you more on power steering.

Hi guys. Any gearing suggestions with a Novak 4.5 brushless on a 64 pitch spur and pinion? I'll be running on asphalt.

Thanks in advance.

I am using 114T spur with a 19T pinion for a ratio of 10.20, and it is still going ballistic with IB4200s

Gearing is depentable on the track ie with 9 turn on our track we use 6.25 while guys with brushless use 7.50-8

Give more details about the track and it will be easier to get some help
