Drifting gear ratios
Hi, I just got a new p2k2 motor, can't wait till it arrives. my qution is what would be an apropriate gear ratio (motor pinion) to run for this motor for drifting? MY user guide of the cars (tc3) says 28 teeth ratio = 6.43, towerhobbies says to start at 21 teeth, which is a ratio = 8.57 . but that is for grip, any suggestions on a ratio that is good for drifting and doesn't overload the motor?

for drifting you want to go around the undergearing part but not to much
that is beacuse of tourqe matters

so i would say around 24 to 26 tooth for drifting and well stick
with the 72 tooth spur for the tc3
with the 72 tooth spur for the tc3

i use a 25 with my TC3 drifting 24-26 is fine

well i use a costum 19 turn quad magnet motor gaered at 28tooth with a 69tooth spur

so the 25 is allright for 27T, great, no other gear to buy, 6$ I'll save.

23 - 25 tooth pinion
and 72 or 75 tooth spur
those are 48 pitch
and 72 or 75 tooth spur
those are 48 pitch
